Meerapfel is one of the oldest names in tobacco. The family has been in the business since 1846, when founder Meir Meerapfel set up shop in Europe. The cigar company of the same name is the modern American arm of that heritage, and Meir — the second release after the company's debut Richard — is named in his honor.
1842 is one of the most historically evocative releases from Principle Cigars. The cigar takes its name from a pivotal year in American history and belongs to the brand’s Archive Collection, a series dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting pieces of the past. Principle Cigars has built its reputation on limited, story-driven releases that incorporate genuine historical artifacts, and 1842 stands as a refined expression of that philosophy — a medium-bodied Lancero that pairs rich notes of coffee, wood, and spice with the weight of the era it honors.
